Check this out to find out more about Stuart Allan, the sales & marketing manager at Precise.
What does your job involve? What do you do on a typical day?
As sales and marketing manager at Precise, my focus is bathrooms. I’m lucky enough to get to design and deliver stunning bathrooms as well as creating functional but beautiful adapted bathrooms that can be real life changers for my clients.
Roughly speaking, on a typical week I find myself in the office for about 3 days and spend 2 on the road. My days in the office are busy with things like working on quotes, creating CAD drawings, communicating with customers and pulling together ideas for dream bathrooms.
My days on the road are always full of fun as I’m constantly meeting new people, finding out about them and what their aspirations are for their perfect bathroom. I’m responsible for every aspect of our bathroom design and installation service from measuring up to taking the ‘after’ photos and making sure the customers are 100% satisfied.
Which part of your job do you enjoy most?
I love the fact that my job is full of variety. Every day is very different, and I never know who I will meet next. I really enjoy the mix of clients I get to visit. I love a challenge and am constantly setting myself targets to achieve – those targets could be projects I’m determined to win, or tasks I need to complete. Either way, I love ticking my challenges off my list as done or achieved. It gives me a real buzz.
Which part of your job do you like least?
To be perfectly honest, there isn’t any part of my job that I dislike. Precise Installs offers an excellent working environment and I find most elements of my job to be great fun, both in and out of the office.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I’m a real family man. I like nothing more than spending time with my wife, Charlotte and my daughter Anna. I also enjoy playing 5-a-side football and snooker. And when I can – weather permitting – I love hillwalking, and in particular bagging some of Scotland’s Munros.
